Clare Bowditch To Moderate ‘Women In Australian Music’ Panel Event

After a successful debut in Sydney as a part of Vivid Ideas, the Society of Tastemakers and Elegant People are teaming up with the fine people at LISTEN to present what is sure to be an important and enthralling discussion panel, ‘Women in Australian Music’.

Taking place at The Toff in Town on Wednesday 1st July, the Women in Australian Music discussion panel will feature an impressive group of industry figures who will take on such pressing issues as the challenges women face in the Australian music industry, and ways to foster a new generation of female leaders in Australian music.

Aussie musician and actor Clare Bowditch will act as moderator to a panel made up of fellow musician and LISTEN co-founder Evelyn Morris, Rookie writer and senior editor at The Good Copy Brodie Lancaster, Melbourne musician and booker Emily Ulman, music journalist and author of Cherry Bomb Jenny Valentish and SLAM’s Helen Marcou who is also a co-owner of Bakehouse Studios.

Whiskey Houston will be performing a DJ set before the panel discussion and Melbourne’s Totally Mild will perform the night’s closing set.
