Every Time I Die Guitarist Makes Pro Wrestling Debut

It’s well known that Andy Williams, guitarist in US metalcore band Every Time I Die, is a big wrestling fan, but the musician has now chokeslammed a pro wrestler in the name of charity.

As TMZ reports, Williams jumped in the ring during a Smash Wrestling event in Toronto, Canada last weekend, which was held to raise money for ALS — that’s Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, often referred to as Lou Gehrig’s Disease, which was the focus of the Ice Bucket Challenge.

Footage of Williams’ bout (below) sees him take a hit before slamming his opponent to the ground. Interestingly, Williams comes to the rescue of wrestler Matt Cross, who once appeared in an Every Time I Die music video.

According to Smash Wrestling director James Kee, Williams plans to train so that he can take part in a full-length match in the future.

Every Time I Die toured Australia in January this year, after showing a US crowd how they use force to deal with stage invaders.
