Watch Childish Gambino Debut A Soulful New Song At Bonnaroo

Actor, writer, comedian and rapper Donald Glover, aka Childish Gambino, has dropped a brand new track at Tennessee’s Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival, and a festival-goer has captured the glorious moment for the world to see.

As seen in the video below, Gambino performed a new six-minute jam with some chilled-out rhythms, delayed vocals, a little less rapping and some very soulful guitar riffs and vocals.

Gambino released his latest album, Because The Internet, in 2013, but his next album has already picked up a fair amount of hype.

As Fader reports, a singer on Twitter has posted — and then deleted — tweets saying that they had just recorded five tracks from a new Gambino album with a team of 50 singers, sharing a photo of Gambino as proof.

That supposed leak came after Glover hinted at ending his Childish Gambino project, saying that while he will continue making music, it might be time to move on from the Gambino persona.

Glover unveiled a new Childish Gambino mixtape called STN MTN in October 2014, which he previously called “a nice in-between for the next album”.

Catch footage of the rapper performing his untitled brand-new track, below.
