Dave Grohl Will Go Back On Tour With Foo Fighters, Broken Leg And All

Looks like it’s going to take more than just a grievous leg injury to stop David Eric Grohl.

Foo Fighters are set to make their return to the live arena, despite the frontman still sporting a cast and six screws in his right shank.

Grohl broke his leg after taking a tumble offstage during a recent concert in Sweden, and was forced to cancel a number of European dates, including the Foo’s headlining slot at Glastonbury, on doctor’s orders.

However, the band has now taken to Twitter to reveal that they will be making their return to the stage much sooner than expected, to perform at their planned 20th anniversary bash in Washington D.C. on the 4th of July.

“Can’t f***ing wait for the 4th!!! See you at home, DC,” Foo Fighters stated.

The show kicks off their monster North American tour, which will also go ahead as scheduled.

There’s been no word as to whether Grohl will be performing the show on crutches or from a wheelchair, as he did when he gloriously returned to finish that Swedish concert after first snapping his leg bone.

Either way, just when we thought Dave Grohl couldn’t get any more badass, he flips the bird to his own mortality, picks up a guitar and goes on tour with a broken leg.

For the record, this is what a real rockstar looks like, Kanye West.

Meanwhile, Florence + The Machine, who replaced Foo Fighters at Glastonbury, performed the Foo’s hit Times Like These in tribute to Grohl during their performance, with Florence Welch saying: “Dave if you’re listening, we love you. We all love you.”

Meanwhile, as NME reports, Foo Fighters are currently the bookies’ favourite to headline Glasto 2016.
