Hear Flume’s Mighty New Remix

While Flume has remixed for huge acts like Sam Smith and Disclosure, it’s his remixes of homegrown acts like Hermitude and Chet Faker that have really hit the bullseye, and now he’s got another one to add to that list, remixing Sydney duo Collarbones.

Flume has twisted Collarbones’ track Turning from their latest album Return, bringing it into a world of dense synth-work and atmospheric beats.

The remix has two mammoth drops and is a return to the sound that was all over his breakthrough debut record – a sound which he briefly departed from on his most recent single Some Minds, which had us waiting until the three minute mark for a drop.

“Here’s something I’ve been playing at my shows recently. It’s a remix for my buds from Sydney, Collarbones,” Flume wrote on his Soundcloud.

He’s currently touring in Europe following his recent shows in Sydney as part of Future Classic’s 10th anniversary at the Sydney Opera House.

While we’re all still waiting on news of a second album, this remix will no doubt keep fans salivating until then.
