Dead Letter Circus Announce New Album ‘Aesthesis’, Share ‘While You Wait’ Video

After teasing fans with a piece of new artwork earlier this week, Brisbane rockers Dead Letter Circus have confirmed their third studio album, Aesthesis, will arrive this August, and have also released a music video for their latest single and Aesthesis album cut While You Wait.

The title of Dead Letter Circus’ latest full-length effort stems from the process of perceiving or being aware of the sensations around one’s self. As singer Kim Benzie explains:

“The journey of Aesthesis for the band was a process of remembering what it truly felt like to create music from the heart without barriers imposed by the mind. Writing this album made us realise how deeply we actually love creating music and more importantly making music with each other.”

Speaking with Music Feeds earlier this year, Benzie said the next Dead Letter Circus album will offer some new heavy rock techniques.

“It’s a very diverse album,” Benzie said. “There are still tracks that have our signature sound in them, but we discovered some really interesting new ways to do heavy rock. It felt like there was such a full rejuvenation of our love of music – why we love music, why we love playing music with other people.”

While You Wait, the first taste of Aesthesis, has been given the full music video treatment, with a clip directed by Benzie himself. Catch the new video in full, below.

Aesthesis was brought to life with the help of Matt Bartlem, Zach Hylton (The Getaway Plan, Jarryd James) and Forrester Savell (Karnivool, The Occupants), and will be released on 14th August.
