Public Enemy Have Announced A New Album And It’s Already Available To Stream

Hip-hop legends Public Enemy have announced their 15th album Man Plans God Laughs and set a release date for today because since Beyoncé surprise-dropped her album humans are incapable of waiting anymore.

The LP is their first since 2012’s The Evil Empire Of Everything and is a “commentary on the 21st century in this technological – yet highly political – world,” as Chuck D told Maxim. It was also inspired by Kendrick Lamar and Run The Jewels.

Along with dropping the entire album, the group has unleashed the video for the politically-charged title track Man Plans God Laughs which is driven by the lyric, “Am I a radical?”

This latest record comes 25 years after the release of Public Enemy’s third and most iconic album Fear of a Black Planet. “Why couldn’t we make a record into a manifesto on how we can be better? Fear of a Black Planet was my world record after traveling the world,” Chuck D said, looking back on the record.

Public Enemy last toured Australia in March of 2014 but they’re frequent visitors to the country so it shouldn’t be too long until we’re hearing this latest record live.
