After half a decade away from our desperately pining earholes, Brit-pop legend Jamie T finally returned to us last year in the form of new LP Carry On The Grudge, which earned rave reviews and, no doubt, a slew of new fans.
On his way down under for Splendour In The Grass next week, we got a chance to throw Jamie some quick questions about his impending trip and what to expect from his next musical release!
Because he’s an all round super nice bloke, Jamie also recorded for us an exclusive (and god damn stunning!) acoustic version of his current single Turn On The Light in his very own studio.

Music Feeds: What do you love most about touring to Australia?
Jamie T: The people. It’s always great for us to travel so far from home and have people turn up to the shows. It still amazes me.
MF: Can we expect to hear any new music on your Aussie set lists?
J: The sets at the moment are a bit of old and a bit of new. We try to play a bit of everything.
MF: What can we expect from the follow up to Carry On The Grudge? Any new music directions or collabs planned?
J: I like to think every album is a new direction so I’m hoping this one is no different. Collabs? Maybe you will have to wait and see on that.
MF: Which artists are you looking forward to catching at Splendour?
J: Royal Blood are a band I’ve wanted to see live for a long time so I will hopefully have a chance to catch them.
MF: Have you ever toured with Blur before? Any chance you’d join them on stage for anything special?
J: I have never toured with Blur. This is a real big deal for me. I would happily join them on stage (even if i was playing the triangle) for any song!
