Watch Foo Fighters Jam ‘Seven Nation Army’ With Dave Grohl’s Leg Doctor

Since career champion Dave Grohl axed himself onstage, broke his leg and became throne-ridden, Foo Fighters seem to have been amping their live shows up a notch to compensate.

So far we’ve seen flaming leg-cast guitar solos, pre-concert jams with members of Blind Melon and Pearl Jam, and, most recently, a surprise cameo from Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith.

Now, there’s another name to add to the impressive list of guest stars at recent Foos concerts: Dave Grohl’s orthopaedic surgeon, Dr. Lew C. Schon, MD.

At the band’s Sunday night concert at Boston’s Fenway Park, Grohl thanked the good doctor for helping him get back in touring-shape, despite still having six metal screws and a plaster cast wrapped around his shank.

He then brought Dr. Lew out onstage, to join him for a rousing rendition of The White Stripes’ hit, Seven Nation Army.

The quack administered a strong dose of rock n’ roll, taking over the majority of vocal duties from his star patient. Our diagnosis? A frustratingly impressive performance for someone so smart and successful in the medical profession.

No word yet on when Dr. Lew’s solo album might be due out but we’ll be sure to keep you posted.
