A crack team from Music Feeds HQ has just arrived at Splendour In The Grass ground zero. With pre-parties kicking off tonight and the festival proper swinging into action tomorrow, we’ve been setting up base camp and holding strategy talks to figure out how best to tackle the next three days of music-related mayhem, and bring you guys the best festival coverage, hopefully ever.
As well as creating our very own snapchat handle – musicfeedsoz (follow us whydontcha) – we’ve also been researching the shit out of the latest interview techniques and other journalisty manoeuvres to get the very best results from our backstage media accred, and we thought we’d share one of our top-ranked resources with y’all this festival eve.
This state-of-the-art video from the Funny Or Die braintrust has proved instrumental in demonstrating to us the questions that we most definitely should not be asking the artists that we powwow with at Splendour this weekend.
It features an interviewer named Mike going behind the scenes at the Pemberton Music Festival in Canada, and fielding questions from acts such as Run the Jewels, CHVRCHES, Earl Sweatshirt, A$AP Ferg, our very own Courtney Barnett and more, which the bands are sick to death of answering themselves.
It’s a good thing we watched this too, because asking Mark Ronson who’s hotter out of Caitlyn and Kylie Jenner was like number one on to do our list.
