The Sunshine Coast’s 2015 Caloundra Music Festival just got even bigger, with 35 new acts added to the lineup including Aussie rockers Hoodoo Gurus, hard rockers Baby Animals and singer-songwriter Ben Lee.
The 32 other newly-added acts include Pseudo Echo, Ash Grunwald, Tijuana Cartel, Abbe May and Lime Cordiale, and all join an the lengthy Caloundra Music Festival lineup which already featured the likes of Xavier Rudd, Angus & Julia Stone, San Cisco and hip hop group Thundamentals.
The festival’s lineup also includes a number of new international acts, such as Royal Southern Brotherhood, George Porter and the Runnin’ Pardners, JJ Grey and Mofro, Babylon Circus and Steve Poltz.
Caloundra Music Festival Director Richie Eyles says he’s particularly excited about the international acts. “We are so lucky to have international acts of this calibre coming to perform in our beautiful beachside backyard,” he says.
This year’s Caloundra Music Festival is slated for the first weekend in October, and will once again be held at Kings Beach Park. The event is not-for-profit, family-friendly, and has the suitable motto, “Sun, Surf and Soul.”
