Brisbane muso Jarryd James has followed up his Splendour In The Grass debut with a new single called Regardless, featuring the one and only Julia Stone from brother-sister duo Angus & Julia Stone.
Premiered on triple j, Regardless (below) sees the vocals of Stone and James intertwine around a luscious concoction of slow beats, guitars and drooping piano.
Regardless was written by the pair in a single day, and was co-produced by Joel Little, who had his hand in James’ previous singles Give Me Something and Do You Remember, as is best-known for his work with Lorde and Daniel Johns.
As triple j reports, James gave Regardless its live premiere at this year’s Splendour In The Grass, without the backing of his partner in crime, Ms Stone. The song is set to appear on James’ forthcoming debut album, Thirty One, which he announced last month.
