The sisters HAIM have been busy of late casually touring with music’s most powerful squad on Taylor Swift’s 1989 tour, but between the massive stadium shows they sill managed to fit on some recording, delivering an on point cover of Tame Impala‘s ‘Cause I’m A Man.
The cover of the standout Currents track, which they’ve actually called a remix but, whatever – semantics, pitches the original track down ever so slightly, turns up the underlying hip hop beats and swaps out Kevin Parker’s falsetto with the Danielle Haim’s lush vocals. It’s damn-near perfect.
Kevin Parker’s tongue-in-cheek lyrics are given a whole other dimension when sung by women and this cover is distinctively on point. Check it out for yourselves below.
