Watch A Re-United Alexisonfire Return To The Stage In First Show Post-Hiatus

Canadian post-hardcore legends Alexisonfire are officially back in business, bringing an end to a three year hiatus this past weekend by putting on a set packed full with fan-favourites at Heavy Montreal Festival.

The band’s classic line-up – so that’s George Pettit, Chris Steele, Wade MacNeil, Dallas Green and Jordan ‘Ratbeard’ Hastings – took the festival stage to perform an 11-song set, and if fan-shoot footage is anything to go by, they haven’t lost their touch.

The fivesome unleashed tracks like This Could Be Anywhere In The World, Accidents and Old Crows to the delight of adoring fans. Watch footage of those performances below.

Alexisonfire first announced their breakup in August of 2011. They followed this with a 2012 farewell tour, after which the band’s members took time to pursue other projects. Green has had huge success as City And Colour as well as making an unlikely album with P!nk, while McNeil continued on as the lead-singer of Gallows.

Then this year, Alexisonfire announced their return, unveiling a run of international tour and festival dates. They’ll also be playing the monster 2015 Reading & Leeds Festival this month, alongside the likes of Bring Me The Horizon, Royal Blood, Pierce The Veil and Marmozets.

The Alexisonfire tour dates don’t yet include Australia, but we’ll be keeping a close eye out. January’s a nice time of year to visit, don’t you think?
