Deadmau5 Returns Fire At Skrillex Over “Asshole” Diss

The unfolding quarrel between student and master continues, with Deadmau5 slinging mud back at Skrillex for referring to him as a quote-unquote asshole.

Skril came out swinging against the EDM rat who gave him his start in the music bizz via a recent radio interview, saying “I’ll always have love for Joel because he put me on at an early time, but he’s an asshole. And everyone knows that, and he knows that. And that’s kinda his thing.”

Using the medium of Twitter, Deadmau5 has squeaked some passive aggressive shade in response, stating: “[Skrillex] should have brought that up when I released his first album for him”.

He continued: “Yes. I’m aware that I can be a fucking diva. Yes, I am aware [that] I have more than one complex.”

And finally, he addressed his EDM bro directly, saying, “So, YES @skrillex I’m SUPER SAD I’m not as cheerful, and super inspired by life like you. And I’m so SORRY I’m an asshole. But how about you let me worry about that shit.”

As is often the case when two male friends fall out with each other, the catalyst for their feud was apparently someone coming between them. Things haven’t been the same between Deadmau5 and Skrillex since Skril started hanging out with Justin Bieber.

The pair’s collaborative single Where Are Ü Now is what brought about all the heartache in the first place, and the dupstep wizard is now working with Biebs on his new album.
