Watch Over 150 Drummers Perform AC/DC & Megadeth Classics In Record-Breaking Attempt

Approximately 156 stickmen, women, children and senior citizens have gathered together in Brazil’s Ibirapuera Park in an attempt to set a new world record for the most amount of neighbours pissed off by most amount of drummers playing along in a single band.

The ragtag bunch of percussionists and their BYO kits convened to simultaneously beat the Guinness record – and their skins – to AC/DC’s You Shook Me All Night Long, Megadeth’s metal opus Symphony Of Destruction, as well as songs by KISS, The Rolling Stones and Daft Punk.

As Blabbermouth reports, it was all part of ‘Bateras 100% Brasil’, a project conceived by drummer Dino Verdade, owner of Brazil’s biggest drum school franchise, in the honourable spirit of sharing a killer groove.

There were a few familiar faces on stage to lead the monster beat squadron in Megadeth’s Symphony as well, including Amilcar Christófaro (Torture Squad), Jean Dolabella (ex-Sepultura), Bart (Whale Mutant) and Edu Garcia (John Wayne), with Dino Verdade (Brotheria) conducting.

Videos have been uploaded of the rhythmic legion jamming on Megadeth and Acca Dacca, but somehow it doesn’t seem quite as impressive as last month’s viral video of 1000 Italian Foo Fighters fans playing Learn To Fly.

Still, bet it was the most intense load-in of all time.
