Aussie rockers Cold Chisel have given fans the first taste of their forthcoming new album, The Perfect Crime. Debuting brand-new song Lost and its accompanying music video, the group have also added extra shows to their upcoming One Night Stand Tour.
Lost (below) is the first single to be lifted from The Perfect Crime, and sees Cold Chisel in full sing-a-long mode, driven by a string section and the powerful voice of frontman Jimmy Barnes.
The Perfect Crime is the result of numerous recording sessions across 2014 and 2015, and is set for release on Friday, 2nd October. Cold Chisel’s primary songwriter, Don Walker, says the album “is probably the most rock & roll album that we’ve ever done”.
Preparing to take The Perfect Crime on the road for the first time, Cold Chisel have added extra tour dates in Geraldton, Adelaide, Melbourne and Sydney. What’s more, fellow Aussie rockers Grinspoon are coming out of indefinite hiatus to be Cold Chisel’s special guests at seven of their upcoming shows.
“We’ve done a couple of really memorable shows with Grinspoon,” says Jimmy Barnes.
“They played with us on our huge return show at Homebush Stadium in 2009 and they joined us for one show on the Light The Nitro tour in 2011 and that just happened to be the biggest show of the tour. They’re a great band and a really good fit with Cold Chisel.”
