Slow Club Australian Tour Dates

Bursting out of the UK, Sheffield duo Slow Club visit our shores for the first time in January.

Charles Watson and Rebecca Taylor are more than charming anti-folk troubadours of the lo-fi acoustic end of the Sheffield scene; they are the real thing. That spontaneous intangible ‘thing’ that comes jumping off records and crackling off the stage, hanging crystalline for fleeting moments to confound and intrigue.

With their debut release YEAH SO earlier this year, we became familiar with Charles and Rebecca’s dynamic partnership on record. Now we wait to witness the duo thrill live audiences – their highly developed partnership delivering sweet harmonious hooks, rockabilly beats and exuberant yelps and yips, which spill out across the album and very soon on stage.

Touring across Australia over summer with Camera Obscura, Slow Club will also be doing a couple of special headline shows, including the Mojos Australia Day Party with Rabbit Island, The Belle Ends, Wind Waker & The Growl on Jan 26. Doors at 5… come early for sweet tunes, complimentary snag and sauce, or $1 fresh prawn skewers!
