So Frenchy So Chic Is Returning To Melbourne And Sydney In 2016

So Frenchy So Chic, the festival celebrating all things French, has announced that it will be returning to Melbourne for its fifth year and Sydney for its third in January of next year.

The day festival has gathered together an impressive lineup in 2016 of French talent including folk and blues artist Hindi Zahra, ’70s-tinged duo Brigitte, the soulful Lou Dillon and Balkan-electro collective Soviet Suprem.

Of course, the french are about their food as much as their music and the organisers haven’t let us down with a host of promised culinary delights. Seafood, crêpes, macaroons and ice cream will all be on offer from French artisan stalls. You’ll also need something to whet your pallet so the champagne will be flowing.

If you want someone to do all the work for you, the festival have organised picnic baskets full of baguettes, chocolates and salads so you can focus on chowing down and enjoying the french tunes.

It’s a family-encompassing festival, so on top of copious amounts of food and alcohol there is also face painting, puppet shows, pétanque and croquet.

Tickets are on sale now and will be sold at a cheaper price until Monday 28th September.
