Gatecrashers at the Perth leg of Listen Out festival have had their plans to break into the festival dashed recently as this video posted to YouTube shows.
While last year a team of dedicated fence jumpers managed to tear down a fence and storm the grounds of the electronic music festival, this year’s effort was halted after jumpers cleared the first fence only to be confronted by police.
Fleeing at the sight and sounds of the police siren and lights, 9NEWS reports that it is still unclear whether anyone in the video was arrested.
Headlined by rapper and TV’s Community star Childish Gambino aka Donald Glover the festival featured sets by Odesza, SBTRKT, Rae Sremmurd and Joey Bada$$ who, according to the Music Feeds reviewer Cyclone Wehner, demonstrated a presence that “rivals that of Nas”.
Traveling to Sydney’s Centennial Park and the Brisbane Showgrounds this weekend, this episode serves as a warning to any would be jumpers from other states that Listen Out take this seriously – mind you I doubt if the muscle bound bros will heed it.
Tickets for both the Sydney and Brisbane shows are still on sale anyway so save yourself the strain and heart ache and just grab a ticket. In the meantime you can watch the footage of the abortive break in here, below.
