American metalcore band iwrestledabearonce are asking for fans to donate to a crowdfunding campaign after their touring trailer was stolen in Texas.
The band’s van and trailer was parked in a church parking lot overnight in bassist Mike “Ricky” Martin’s hometown when it was taken. According to the band’s gofundme page, the trailer had $20,000 worth of gear in it, including a “whacky waving inflatable arm flailing tube man with our band’s name on it.”
In eight hours the band have raised over $1,500 of their $7,500 goal.
“Any touring musician can tell you that a band’s entire LIVELIHOOD is in their trailer,” the band wrote on their gofundme.
“And when you walk outside your home to see everything you’ve worked so hard to accomplish, GONE… There is no feeling like it.”
The trailer was also full of merch the band was planning to sell on their upcoming tour. They’re now left with a bill for the merch and no merch to sell in order to pay the bill. They use the money made for merch to pay for gas while on tour.

“We will be using any donations made from this page to rent a U-Haul for the tour, buy two new speaker cabinets, and most importantly get a replacement drum set,” they wrote.
At the end of October they will embark on a massive US tour which will see them play 22 shows – that will obviously not be possible without gear.
