The Central Coast Just Got A New Indie-Electro Party And SAFIA Is Headlining

If you hail from the Cenny, then you’ll be well-versed in the art of schlepping to and from the Big Smoke, often times at 4 or so in the AM on board an Antarctically freezing shittyrail train, just to experience this thing we call “live music”.

Because apart from the annual godsend that is Mountain Sounds, or big name band stopping by the Enny Leagues on a charitable regional tour, or Barnesy/Farnsey/some former X-Factor/Idol contestant playing the RSL, we don’t get much of it round these parts.

Thankfully, events and party crew Sounds Like are about to change all that, with the launch of a new indie-electronic party at the beachside bastion of good times that is Terrigal’s Florida Beach Bar.

The first instalment of Sounds Like will take place on Friday, 4th December and feature a headlining set by soul-electro superstars SAFIA, supported by Sydney indie-electronic act Boo Seeka and house DJ Surfdisco, with local crowd faves Steve Pike, Blake Richardson and Kahl Page also warming up the decks.

According to the folks at Sounds Like, future instalments of the event will showcase “a curated line-up of both Australian and International artists”.

Tickets to Sounds Like #1 go on sale from next Tuesday, 13th October, so go on and get involved whydontcha.

If this baby hits Tezza on the reg, maybe those lucky bastards in Sydney will have to start schlepping to the Cen for once in their lives!
