Adele Teases First New Song In Years During Mysterious TV Advert

Adele has teased her first new song since the year 2012, in an anonymous advert which aired during Britain’s version of The X Factor.

The thirty-second clip aired on UK television on Sunday, almost five years since the soul diva’s last album, 21, was released.

As the BBC reports, viewers heard an angelic, Adele-like voice singing, accompanied by lyrics on an otherwise black screen:

“Hello/It’s me/I was wondering if after all these years you’d like to meet/To go over everything.

“They say that time’s supposed to heal ya/But I ain’t done much healing…”

Word on the street is it’s a song from her forthcoming new album, 25, which is due out on November 20th.

It’s believed the album was produced by a super-team of musical masterminds, including Gnarls Barkley’s Brian Burton, Swedish hitmaker Max Martin and One Republic’s Ryan Tedder.

And after the clip was broadcast, One Republic tweeted simply: “Adele :)”

Watch the mysterious advert below, and continue to keep your fingers crossed that Adele’s first ever Australian tour will soon follow.
