Chet Faker Announces Australian Tour Supports, Official Show After Parties

Formally hirsute Chet Faker is about to kick off his huge Australian Built on Live tour and today has announced the special guests who he’ll be sharing the stage with, as well as details of the show’s official after parties in Sydney and Brisbane.

After sending fans into a collective tailspin this week by first unveiling his newly shorn face and then unfurling a new single as part of a collaborative EP with Marcus Marr, Faker has revealed the British DJ will be joining Faker on tour to give The Trouble With Us a spin, live.

The song is our first lick of their four-track EP collab, Work, which is due to drop on Friday, 4th December via Faker’s own label, Detail Records.

Acts supporting Faker on the jaunt around the country will be Silicon, Awesome Tapes From Africa, Cleopold, Otologic (Sydney only) and Nile Delta (Brisbane only). Joining Chet on stage will be Dave Harrington of Darkside on bass, a nine-piece choir and an extended band with its very own horn section. These are going to be some epic shows.

While tickets for both Sydney shows are sold-out, and only a handful of tickets left to the Brisbane and Melbourne shows, Faker has today announced some official Built on Live after-parties so you can continue the good vibes well into the night.

These will take place following the Brisbane show on Saturday 31 October at The Foundry, and following the second and final Sydney show on Saturday 7 November at The Basement, and will feature DJ sets from Marcus Marr and Dave Harrington, with Otologic opening in Sydney and Nile Delta opening in Brisbane.

The final Built On Glass Australian tour starts next week, before headlining the biggest Australian Boiler Room event to date in Melbourne this November.
