Frenzal Rhomb guitarist and former triple j radio host Lindsay “The Doctor” McDougall married his love Jen Owens last weekend, before holding the reception at a local pub and having their first dance to Iron Maiden‘s Blood Brothers.
As the Illawarra Mercury reports, McDougall and his now wife held a full vegan reception at Thirroul’s Beaches Hotel, with an open invite to the public.
During the night, the newlyweds took to the dancefloor to rock out with some Maiden as part of their first dance as a married couple — because there’s nothing like a bit of Maiden to kick off a marriage. Behold:
The evening also saw dance trio Art Vs Science perform a cover of the Electric Six classic Gay Bar. Behold:
David Stead, manager of Beaches Hotel, says the whole affair was casual, rockin’ and super-fun. “They actually wanted anybody and everyone rocking in and having a good time,” he says.
“It’s the best wedding I’ve been to and I was actually working… Lindsay was jumping up and smashing out some guitar solos, they pulled up anyone who wanted to get up and sing.”
