If you’ve been missing Missy, then you won’t be missing her for much longer, because the iconic Aussie singer-songwriter has just announced a handful of concert dates for 2016.
Missy Higgins’ first tour in almost two years will see her grace stages at a variety of concerts and festivals across the country, including Sydney’s Twilight At Taronga, Victoria’s Riverboats Music Festival and Peninsula Picnic, as well as Tassie’s Skyfields, where she’ll be accompanied by the Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra to perform special arrangements of all of her biggest hits.
In addition to those performances, Higgins will also play a special one-off headlining show at Melbourne’s Hammer Hall, supported by Something For Kate frontman Paul Dempsey (who’ll also be supporting her at Twilight At Taronga & Skyfields)
“For the whole of this year I’ve been experiencing life as a first time Mum, and it’s been incredible, but I really can’t wait to get out of the house and play a few gigs,” Missy said in a statement.
“I’ve actually been writing a lot of songs lately so I’m looking forward to trying a few of them out at these gigs along with all the others of course. Either way, it’ll be nice to sing something other than Twinkle Twinkle Little Star for a change!”
The acoustic minstrel has also teased a forthcoming announcement for her fans in Brisbane and Perth in the coming weeks, so you guys won’t be missing Missy for much longer, either.
