Watch The Jungle Giants’ Funked-Up Cover Of Cut Copy’s ‘Lights & Music’ For ‘Like A Version’

Brissie’s The Jungle Giants have stepped into the triple j studios to drop a funked-up cover of Cut Copy‘s hit song Lights & Music for this week’s Like A Version.

The Jungle Giants’ take on the Cut Copy hit (below) sees the band turn up the funk with some pulsing guitar lines and plenty of cowbell. The band’s frontman Sam Hales says he associates the track with taking the bins out in his youth, for some reason — maybe it’s because of the song’s ~funky~ vibes.

While in the triple j studios, The Jungle Giants also performed a cowbell-heavy live version of their original track Every Kind Of Way, which appears on their most recent studio album, Speakerzoid.

The Jungle Giants have festival appearances lined up at Disconnect Festival, Lost Paradise Festival, Beyond The Valley and Party In The Park. Catch both of the band’s Like A Version performances, below.
