2015 ARIA Award Winners: Live Updates

Will Melbourne songstress Courtney Barnett dominate this year’s ARIA Awards like she did every other 2015 musical awards system available? Will Sia win more ARIAs, only to turf them on Twitter again? Will someone accidentally trip and impale themselves on one of the dangerously pointy prizes? (Hopefully not).

All of these questions and more will be answered right here, with real time updates coming at you live from the ARIA Awards ceremony tonight.

All of the glitz and glamour of the Australian music industry’s night of nights is set to get underway from 7.30pm on Channel 10, but some of the winners will be announced before the broadcast begins so…

Courtney Barnett has already asserted dominance in the nominations, with a total of eight nods including an already-announced win in the Best Cover Art category, for the artwork on her debut album Sometimes I Sit And Think, And Sometimes I Just Sit.

But Barnett’s got some stiff competition in the Album Of The Year department, from the likes of Flight Facilities, Vance Joy, Tame Impala and Hermitude, who are nipping at her heels with a total seven nominations.

A whole host of artists are also due to perform at tonight’s ceremony, including Flight Facilities, Hermitude, last year’s big winner Vance Joy and international superstar ginger Ed Sheeran.

Keep checking below for updates on 2015’s big ARIA Award winners, and for all the happenings on the red carpet, check out our mates at theFashionSpot‘s red carpet coverage here.
