M.I.A. Takes On The Boat People Crisis In New Track And Video ‘Borders’

British rapper M.I.A. has made a call for compassion in regards to the escalating refugee crisis around the world in a new self-directed music video for new track Borders.

In the visually stunning clip sees M.I.A. join the refugee front line and immerse herself in the trials and tribulations of those forced to flee their homes, from barbed wire fences to packed, small boats.

M.I.A. has also dedicated the video to her Uncle, who was one of the first Tamil (Sri Lanka) migrants to come to the UK in 60s.
