Currently in town for Stereosonic 2015, Major Lazer have managed to keep the announcement of a Sydney sideshow pretty hush hush, but that hasn’t stopped the show from selling out super-quickly.
Sydney’s Home Nightclub announced via Facebook yesterday afternoon that Major Lazer — that’s Diplo, Jillionaire and Walshy Fire — will be performing at the venue in their after-party guise Major Lazer Soundsystem this Thursday, 3rd December.
Tickets to the show went on sale at 10am this morning, Monday, 30th November, and have already sold out. The show is set to feature Montréal’s Snails and Australia’s own What So Not and Spenda C as supports.
Major Lazer performed at the Sydney leg of Stereosonic on Saturday, 28th November, and at the Perth leg yesterday. The three-piece will perform sets at Stereosonic in Adelaide, Melbourne and Brisbane this coming weekend.
