Slash, Duff & Axl Rose Confirmed For Guns N’ Roses Reunion

You wanted the best? Well they didn’t fuckin’ make it. So here’s what you get…

Slash, Duff & Axl have all been confirmed for the reunited Guns N’ Roses lineup which has just been announced to headline Coachella.

Gunners have issued an official statement (via Loudwire) announcing that the group’s three most iconic members will be playing music live on a stage together for the first time since the year 1993:

“Upholding a three-decade tradition of breaking ground, creating trends, and forever changing the face of rock ‘n’ roll, Guns N’ Roses announce the most significant and anxiously awaited musical event of this century. Founder Axl Rose and former members Slash and Duff McKagan will regroup to headline the Coachella Music & Arts Festival (April 15-17 & April 22-24)”.

However, the identity of who else we might see appearing onstage as part of the reunited Guns N’ Roses lineup remains to be seen.

There’s been no word, for instance, on whether original rhythm guitarist Izzy Stradlin, his Use Your Illusion live stand-in Gilby Clarke or original drummer Steven Adler will be in the house (we definitely wouldn’t be holding our breath for Adler, though. Just sayin’).

Consequence Of Sound had reported that Adler’s original replacement and Velvet Revolver mainstay Matt Sorum may also on board, however multiple other media sources believe that a group of Chinese Democracy-era members will most likely be joining the classic trio (specifically keyboardist Dizzy Reed, multi-instrumentalist Chris Pitman, rhythm guitarist Richard Fortus, and drummer Frank Ferrer).

Along with Coachella, the reunited Guns N’ Roses are also expected to perform in football stadiums across the US later this year.

All we can say is they’d better be coming to Australia too… or else Aussie fans might find themselves experiencing a very real appetite for destruction.
