Courtney Barnett, Chet Faker, Meg Mac and Betty Who will be repping for the Aussies at this year’s monster Governors Ball festival.
The New York City event has just unveiled its 2016 lineup, with the aforementioned four Aussie artists featuring alongside the likes of Kanye West, The Strokes, The Killers and Beck.
Eagles Of Death Metal will also appear, marking their first confirmed performance on US soil since the horrific Paris terror attacks last November.
Other acts named on the sixth annual Gov Ball lineup include M83, HAIM, Robyn, Death Cab For Cutie, Father John Misty, CHVRCHES, Jamie xx, Miguel, Purity Ring, Bloc Party and stacks more.
Aussie acts also put in a strong showing on this year’s epic reunited Guns N Roses-headlined Coachella lineup, with Barnett making the cut once again, alongside countrymen Sia, Flume, Nina Las Vegas, RÜFÜS (under their RÜFÜS DU SOL guise) and DMA’s.
Governors Ball runs from June 3rd – June 5th this year at Randall’s Island Park, NYC.
