Weezer Might Be About To Release The White Album

Having recently whited out their website and social media, it seems Weezer may be throwing us a teaser about new material, specifically a new entry into their series of colour albums – The White Album.

While just the fact they posted a bunch of white images to social media and changed their website to a blank page might not be a whole lot of proof the final clue comes in an email sent to fans telling them to “stay tuned”.

Following their previous pallete of releases including The Blue Album, The Green Album and The Red Album (the colour albums appearing randomly through the band’s catalogue), this would be the band’s first album since 2014’s Everything Will Be Alright In The End.

The white out follows the band’s release of two new singles late last year, Thank God For Girls and Do You Wanna Get High?. While enigmatic frontman Rivers Cuomo denied the band were working on a new album at the time of the singles release, let’s hope his alter comments that the band  “were open to dinner dates with A&R representatives,” prove prophetic and we see The White Album hit shelves this year.

There has been no official statement by the band yet, but stay tuned for more news. In the meantime you can check out the tweets etc below… although they are just blank posts so, you know, knock yourself out on those.
