Oh Gawd, Now There’s A Push To Get Nollsy To Play Splendour In The Grass

You lot just can’t get enough of old Nollsy, can yas?

With the official dates for Splendour In The Grass 2016 announced less than 24 hours ago, it hasn’t taken long for punters to flood the festival’s official Facebook event page with their thoughts on exactly who organisers should get to headline this year’s Byron Bay event.

And the overwhelming demand has been for one man and one man alone: Condobolin’s finest son, Shannon Noll.

The people have spoken, and they want their Splendour In The Grass served with a side of soul patch:

And it seems there’s no quenching Australia’s insatiable appetite for Nollsy action.

The vocal campaign for Shannon Noll to play SITG follows an online campaign to get the former Australian Idol runner-up to perform at this year’s Groovin The Moo festival, as well as a recently announced memorial event to mourn the 13-year anniversary of his being robbed of the Idol crown by Guy Sebastian, which has already received an insane 14K RSVPs.

And, for what it’s worth, Nollsy’s totally up for GTM 2016. “Let’s have a crack, eyyy.”

There were even high hopes that the Lift singer would get a last-minute invite to the endangered Falls Festival last year. As Pedestrian TV points out, though it sadly didn’t happen, it was written into history anyway:

Alright, which one of you funny bastards is responsible for this?CC: Falls Music and Arts Festival.

There’s no use denying it.

It appears that 2016 will forever be remembered as The Year Of Shannon Noll.
