A petition calling for Snoop Dogg to narrate an entire season of the award-winning BBC nature documentary series Planet Earth has gained mind-blowing traction, garnering tens of thousands of supporters in the space of two days.
47,000 people and counting have so far backed the campaign for D-O-double-G to take over the reigns from renowned English broadcaster and naturalist Sir David Attenborough as host of the program.
The campaign was spawned following the success of the rapper’s spoof Plizzanet Earth segment on talk show Jimmy Kimmel Live, which saw the rapper record his own voiceovers on top of old Planet Earth footage.
And while Sir David Attenborough is pretty much tha shiznit as far as narrators go, old mate is getting on a bit.
And seeings as how Planet Earth is basically every respectable stoner’s ultimate TV experience, Snoop Dizzle is the obvious choice to replace him.
Sorry Dave, it’s a Doggy Dogg World.
“Snoop Dogg has narrated some Planet Earth in the past but yo we need him to narrate full episodes,” the Change.org page reads. “Sign the petition if you agree.”
And it’s even received official support from the D-O-Double-G himself, who posted the below tweet saying, “Who made this? Let’s get this shit going. Who want more Plizzanet Earth?”
