White Ox announce’s debut album ‘Ego Music’ and releases teaser track with beat by Djanimals

Having just recently returned from hiatus, Sydney’s White Ox has just announced he’ll be releasing his debut album ‘Ego Music’ sometime next year, dropping a cheeky teaser track called 1942 with production by Djanimals (formerly Danimals).

The track, which is driven by a spaced out beat from Jam Master Jonti Djanimals, see’s White Ox main man and Warhorse frontman Jasper Clifford-Smith taking Aussie hip hop into some new whacked out territory. The contemplative and slightly esoteric lyrics touch mainly on issues of love and separation, showcasing a sensitive side to J-Cliff that isn’t really apparent in his other projects like Warhorse. Sure ‘Fucked Cunts Get Fucked’ has it’s softer moments, but this level of confessionalism and imagery is easily his best work since the ill-fated Arkestra.
