Kanye Says It Wasn’t His Computer In That Picture That Outed Him As A Pirate Bay User

Last week Kanye West posted a picture of a computer to Twitter that looked like he was using music torrent site Pirate Bay but apparently it wasn’t his computer.

As he frequently does, Yeezy chatted to paparazzi outside LAX airport (via X17) and addressed the picture that showed he was listening to Sufjan Stevens and also attempting to pirate synthesizer plugin Serum.

“It’s obviously not my computer,” he said after being dropped off by his wife Kim Kardashian in a Rolls Royce.

“I took a picture of it in the studio, and then everybody was like, ‘Don’t put that up.’ I was like, ‘Let it go up.’”

Apparently he was using “irony” because Pirate Bay was the site where his latest album The Life Of Pablo was downloaded from a million times after he made it a Tidal exclusive.

Kanye also took the opportunity to talk about the Jay Z-owned streaming service. “I can go to Rihanna’s album easily, I can go to the new Beyonce single really easy,” he said, gushing about how easy it is to use the service.

“I didn’t realise how easy it was to get music until I downloaded streaming services.”

If that really is the truth, maybe he really has never used Pirate Bay. Or Limewire. Or Napster.

“This has been a year, 2016, that just really I can express the truth,” he also said, something that he’s reminded us of time and time again this year. He revealed he was $53 million in personal debt, reignited his beef with Taylor Swift, took shots at the Grammys and said Will Ferrell has reached “god status”.

He also actually acknowledged to the paparazzi at LAX that he knows people think he is going crazy. “It’s so funny because all people got was truth,” he said.

“Truth. Truth. Truth. Truth.”

In other news, he promised President Obama that he’s going to do beats on Nas’ next album. We’re not sure exactly why that was important to Obama, but it seems Kanye is going to follow through with his promise.
