The Head And The Heart Frontman Josiah Johnson Takes Hiatus To Recover From Addiction

Seattle indie-folk group The Head And The Heart have recently announced dates for their upcoming US tour, but will be without frontman vocalist Josiah Johnson.

The band are set to play at a number of festivals including Shaky Knees, Ottawa Bluesfest and Mo Pop, as well as a solo headliner show at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Colorado across May, June and July this year. They announced via Facebook that due to his ongoing battle with addiction, Johnson would be taking extended leave from touring.

The post also flagged that the band is currently trying to find a temporary replacement for Johnson, but that the process was ongoing and as yet no one has been named. They also thanked fans for their ongoing support and for “providing him with love, support and the privacy he needs to be strong again on his journey”.
