Hear Beck And The Strokes Cover Eagles Of Death Metal’s ‘I Love You All The Time’

Following the Paris terror attacks, where Eagles Of Death Metal‘s venue was stormed by gunmen, the band have asked artists to cover their track I Love You All The Time with all the royalties being donated to the attack victims.

Florence + The Machine, My Morning Jacket, King Of Leon and Jimmy Eat World have all obliged and now Beck and The Strokes‘ Fabrizio Moretti and Nick Valensi have become the latest to cover the song.

As part of the Play It Forward campaign, the trio covered the track from Eagles of Death Metal’s 2015 Zipper Down record, giving it an electronic-tinged renovation. It’s a reverb-soaked, washed-out rendition that’s probably one of the most different covers we’ve heard of the song yet.

Despite the vast difference, Eagles of Death Metal are a fan of the cover.

“Y’all are amazing — huge thanks to you and to Beck for being a part of this! Your version is incredible,” the band commented on The Stroke’s Facebook post promoting the cover.

The Strokes have been out of action for a little while but they’re expected to return with new music this year. They are also set to play NYC’s Governors Ball in June.
