The Ghost Inside Announce First Gig After Horrific Bus Crash

The recovery from a tragic bus accident in November has been a long, hard slog for The Ghost Inside. The accident killed two people and left the band’s drummer Andrew Tkaczyk with an amputated leg.

The band has been making progress back to music and now have announced their first gig back in the circuit as part of Vans Warped Tour 2017.

Warped Tour tweeted this morning, “You heard it here first. 2017 is the year of @theghostinside, see you guys next summer.”

TGI originally planned to be a part of Warped this year, but had to pull out because of the November accident. The band’s driver was killed along with the driver of the second vehicle.

Warped Tour founder Kevin Lyman said, “When that accident happened, I said, ‘I will hold this spot until the day before Warped Tour started.’ I said ‘It’s your spot,” adding, “I’ve never announced a band for a tour a year and a half ahead.”

TGI’s fourth album Dear Youth was released to critical acclaim in 2014. Here’s hoping we’ll see the guys making music again soon.
