Adele Says “Go Fuck Yourselves” To Anyone Who Puts Pressure On Mums To Breastfeed Like Jamie Oliver

Adele has never been afraid to speak her mind and now she has a few words for anybody who tells mothers that they should be breastfeeding.

Adele took the chance to defend women who can’t breastfeed or choose not to breastfeed telling a packed O2 Arena in London (via Billboard), “All these people who put pressure on us, you can go fuck yourselves.”

“It’s hard. Some of us can’t do it. I managed about nine weeks with my boobs, and I trip over them.”

Her comments come in the wake of celebrity chef Jamie Oliver offering his opinion on breastfeeding saying, “It’s easy, it’s more convenient, it’s more nutritious, it’s better, it’s free.”

Adele is a mother to one son who is now three years-old. She delivered her message with her usual sunny disposition but was clearly annoyed about the pressure she faced.

“All I wanted to do was breastfeed my kid and then I couldn’t and I felt like, ‘If I was in the jungle now back in the day, my kid would be dead because my milk’s gone.’ Imagine how that makes me feel. It’s not funny,” she said.

Oliver has since taken to Twitter to clarify his comments writing, “I understanding that breastfeeding is often not easy and in some cases not even possible but I wanted to support women who DO want to breastfeed and make it easier for them”.

Watch Adele talking about breastfeeding in the video below. She also talked about how much she loves Mariah Carey saying, “she should be in the bible,” and, “I absolutely adore her”.
