Two New Drake Songs Have Leaked Onto The Internet

Permission to freak.

The fark.

Out.

New Drake music has hit the internet in the form of not one but TWO MOTHERFLIPPIN’ SONGS which may or may not be off his imminently dropping album Views From The 6.

Hotline schwingggg.

The first track is dubbed Controlla and features Jamaican artist Popcaan. It’s another serving of slow-burning dancehall goodness in the same vein as Hotline Bling and Work (his Rhianna collab) except with a more reggae flavour.

But the second track is unlike anything we’ve heard from Drizzy before. The collab with Tumblr rap collective Barf Troop’s Babeo Baggins is an electric piano-fuelled cover of Jackson Browne’s These Days. It’s packing some old school Simon & Garfunkel vibes and features Drake getting his mad sing awn Broadway styles.

As Vulture reports, These Days is actually called Things I Forgot To Do, off Baggins’ album LOVE SONGS FOR TOUGH GUYS, which became evident after Baggins released the track in full.

Whether this leak is the result of a publicity stunt or perhaps Hudson Mohawke making good on his threats to leak Drake’s music (as vengeance for not being paid properly for his beats) remains unclear, but they’re here now so you might as well give them a spin.

Meanwhile, according to not-so-subtle hints from billboards that have been popping up all over Toronto, Drake’s #vft6 will arrive in April.
