There’s Apparently Going To Be A Notorious B.I.G. Hologram

If you thought the hologram trend that led Tupac to be resurrected at Coachella four years ago was subsiding, it’s not, because there are reportedly plans for Notorious B.I.G. to grace us with his holographic presence.

As Pitchfork reports, US R&B singer Faith Evans and Biggie’s widow is planning to release a posthumous collaborative album using unreleased material from the late rapper and debut it, performing alongside his hologram.

Evans is in the finishing stages of a record titled The King & I and told Dame Dash’ US radio program, “Today, if he was alive, I know, ultimately, we would’ve done something like this.”

“But the way the stuff has come together, and the way I’m using his vocals, it’s giving the stuff new life, it’s totally different.”

She then further explained, “We actually are in development with a hologram.”

She plans to use that hologram in the video for a track off the album and also potentially debut it live, “but that depends on a lot of things”.

Evans is eyeing a September release for the album. It will be the third studio album to be released posthumously following Life After Death and Born Again.
