Deftones Reveal Dark New Single ‘Hearts/Wires’

Just a few short days ahead of the impending release of their album Gore, Deftones have given us a sample of their new record with single Hearts/Wires.

It’s the third song to be revealed off the forthcoming LP which is due out Friday April 8th, and is a dark and atmospheric track. It features a long build up through dulcet, soft guitar tonalities before hitting short blasts of ripping, louder riffs in its chorus.

Despite well-publicised creative tensions between the band’s guitarist Stephen Carpentender and the rest of the group, Deftones appear to have resolved anything still underlying, as this, the third track off the impending LP demonstrates.

The former Soundwave 2016 act have promised they will “most definitely” be touring Australia during their current album cycle, and have even shown interest in playing festival dates. We hear Legion Festival is in the market for some headliners.

In the meantime, Hearts/Wires kicks off at 2:45 into the stream below.
