SAFIA Reveal First Secret Show Location

Since announcing their national ‘Make Them Wheels Roll’ tour to celebrate the release of their latest single, SAFIA have managed to keep fans in the dark about the location of their upcoming string of secret shows.

Now the Canberra trio – not stopping for a second to rest after a series of mind-melting sets at Groovin The Moo over the last few weeks- have announced the first location of the tour. The M.T.W.R tour was touted all along as a slew of shows at creative, non-traditional venues and that concept definitely holds up with this first announcement.

The band uploaded a cryptic video to their Facebook page, displaying only a set of co-ordinates; the latitude and longitude of their Fremantle show. The location was confirmed with the same video uploaded to the J-Shed’s Facebook page – alongside the announcement that SAFIA will be joined by Perth-based experimental electro outfit Lower Spectrum.

The show is set to take place this Friday, 6th May, is the only show left on the tour that isn’t sold out – and doubles as the final instalment of the J-Shed’s Sunset Sounds Series of gigs – all set on Bathers Beach in Freo.

Stay tuned for the announcement of the remaining venues for their next three shows, taking place on the next three consecutive Fridays in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne respectively.
