Beyoncé Payed Homage To Prince With A Crazy Intense Cover

Last night in Dallas, Texas, Beyoncé gave a captivating performance of Princes’ The Beautiful Ones, taken from his iconic 1984 film Purple Rain.

Beyoncé first covered this song, arguably one of Prince’s most challenging tracks, in her set at Glastonbury back in 2011. This time, however, it was delivered with unbridled intensity, in an emotional homage to the late music legend.

Throughout her tour so far for Lemonade, (her most recent and notable release to date), Beyoncé has paid her respects to The Purple One, covering both Purple Rain and Vanity in tribute.

And she is not alone in this. Beck’s rendition of Raspberry Beret, and D’Angelo’s moving live performance of Parade are among many.
