Melbourne DJ, Club Promoter Accused Of Ingesting Ketamine To Smuggle Through Customs

Authorities have accused Melbourne DJ Kasey Taylor and club promoter Robert Oung of attempting to smuggle a kilogram of ketamine into Australia, after the pair were arrested by Border Force trying to get back into the country from Asia last month.

Fairfax reports that it was discovered that each of the men had ingested about 500 grams of the drug, and were taken to Alfred Hospital until the drug had passed through their systems.

Both men were released on bail and will face court in the near future.

It was revealed earlier in the year that police were keeping a close eye on the Melbourne clubbing scene with police seized thousands of ecstasy pills, methamphetamine and cash in raids of two Melbourne dance clubs.

The messy situation is similar to that faced by Sydney’s beloved venue The Imperial, which closed its doors for good soon after.
