KISS bassist/vocalist and regular loud mouth Gene Simmons seriously cooked it with his recent comments on the death of Prince. Now, yet another one of his rock n roll brethren has spoken out about his shit talking – Motley Crue’s Nikki Sixx.
Taking to Twitter, Sixx labels Simmonds comments “Heartless and uneducated” admitting, whether it was due to this specific comment or just the general fact that the dude has gotten serious stale, that Gene Simmonds is “not my hero anymore or anybody’s.”
Sixx joins Simmons’ band mate and KISS member Paul Stanley, who claimed to be “embarrassed” by his frontman’s “cold clueless statements”, going as far as to apologise on behalf of Simmons, who referred to Prince’s death by suspected drug overdose as “Pathetic”.
Hell, Simmons comments were so off-colour that even Simmons slammed Simmons. Soon after the fact, the rock icon released a statement apologising for what he said: “If I think I’m right, I’ll throw up a finger and dig my heels in and laugh. But this time, I was not.”
