Ozzy Osbourne’s Got A New Reality TV Show On The History Channel, For Some Reason

The Prince Of Darkness will be gracing us with his presence once again as he hits the road to embark on a 10 week tour of the US. But this time he won’t be playing any music.

Combining his skills as a touring metal tyrant and reality TV star, he is teaming up with son Jack, to bring us Ozzy and Jack’s World Detour. The new History channel series involves the father son duo hitting up historical hotspots all around the world, including Mt. Rushmore, Stonehenge, The Alamo, Roswell, The Jamestown Settlement and Sun Studios.

They will also be visiting some famous artefact sites like the Cold War missile silo, Allan Cors’ private museum of working war machines and gold miner Rattlesnake Randy’s stream of dreams.

“[It’s] like a father and son spoof on history. We went to Stonehenge and met a guy who thinks he’s the f—ing reincarnation of King Arthur… We’re going to Mount Rushmore, to the abandoned silos where America used to have their Minutemen missiles and all that. It’s educational for me, actually — history with an Osbourne slant.” Ozzy told Billboard in October.

Lest we forget Ozzy’s public reappearance last year at The Alamo, where he was arrested in 1982 for publicly urinating on a monument dedicated to soldiers who died in the Texas Revolution in 1836. He was there with son Jack in tow, filming for the upcoming new series.

The Prince of Darkness is definitely not shy of being in the spotlight, with MTV’s The Osbourne‘s running for 3 years straight with consistently killer ratings in the early 2000s. Ozzy has also caused quite the cyber stir in the last few weeks, with the reported breakdown of his 34 year long marriage to wife Sharon, followed closely by the announcement of his metal fest collaboration with Slipknot, Ozzfest meets Knotfest.

Ozzy and Jack’s World Detour will premiere July 27th.
