Rumoured Frontman B-Real And Chuck D Answer Critics Of Reported Rage Against The Machine Supergroup

Rumoured frontmen of reported supergroup Prophets Of Rage, Public Enemy’s Chuck D and Cypress Hill’s B-Real, have both taken to social media to answer haters questioning their place in the as yet to be confirmed lineup alongside Rage Against The Machine members Tom Morello, Tim Commerford and Brad Wilk.

Essentially confirming the rumours of his inclusion to the group, B-Real posted the band logo to his Facebook page with the hashtag ‪#‎riseup‬ last week. While most people were only too happy to hear the news, one troll claimed that “rap is a brainwashing disease on society” and blasted B-Real for turning Rage Against The Machine into “more generic garbage”.

B-Real however is not a man to let things slide and going against common internet sense decided to wade into the comments section to hit back at the hater, questioning his intelligence and knowledge of hip-hop.

“Sure there a[re] many artist[s] in rap music that put out garbage. This is a fact that can’t be denied,” he argued.

“But to say that all of rap is a brainwashing disease and generic, well that … sounds ignorant. There have been plenty of positive albums and song in the hip hop culture. … Your statement is generic .. Work on it Mr High IQ.”

Chuck D on the other hand hasn’t actually confirmed his place in the lineup, although he has tweeted live videos of RATM in the weeks leading up to the arrival of a countdown on the RATM website. However a tweet he made over the weekend has since been seized upon by many fans as a preemptive strike against anyone audacious enough to call into question the band’s credentials.

Bragging that he is working with the “Heavyest Meanest leanest Hardest SOUNDing Assembled ACT on current music EARTH,” either he’s part of Prophets of Rage or maybe he’s teaming up with Anthrax again for a follow up to Bring The Noise.

Either way we here at Music Feeds HQ are smiling from ear to ear ‘cos some men just want to watch the world learn.
